Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and scale their growing data ecosystem. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building reliable data infrastructure that empowers analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making. This is a fully remote position.

Senior Data Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines that pull data from a wide range of internal and external sources
  • Build Python solutions that support transformation workflows and integrate with third party APIs
  • Support and expand the company's Azure Synapse Analytics data warehouse
  • Contribute to overall data architecture and create database schemas that align with business needs
  • Connect the Synapse environment to BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI to support self-service reporting
  • Manage Azure resources tied to data infrastructure and ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Implement and maintain GitHub based CI and CD workflows for test and production environments
Senior Data Engineer's Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years of experience working as a Data Engineer, preferably within small to mid sized companies
  • Hands on Python development experience
  • Strong SQL expertise with proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Practical experience with Azure cloud services with a focus on Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command line tools
  • Understanding of PKI concepts and asymmetric public key cryptography
