Medical Assistant – Outpatient | PET/CT Center, Fairfax, VA | Full-Time | Weekdays Only

Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metro area — is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team at the PET/CT Center in Fairfax, VA. In this role, you’ll support patient care, assist technologists and physicians, and help ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for every patient.

About the Role
Location: PET/CT Center, Fairfax, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

No call, evenings, or major holidays
You’ll work closely with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to prepare patients, assist with procedures, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized department.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist technologists and physicians with patient care and clinical procedures
  • Initiate IVs as needed
  • Prepare patients for their exams and provide clear communication before and after procedures
  • Participate in emergency response efforts to ensure immediate and appropriate patient care
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areas
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal safety and compliance regulations
What You’ll Bring
  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • High school diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience in phlebotomy or IV placement
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider/AED certification
  • Strong communication, patient service, and teamwork skills
