Location: Corona, CA
Compensation: $90,000-$95,000

Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support their accounting operations across multiple entities. This role is critical in managing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting

  • Assist in bringing books up to date and maintaining accuracy.
  • Prepare and record journal entries for month-end and year-end close across multiple entities (retail and wholesale/distribution).
  • Account for intracompany activities and reconcile between entities.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity.
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Support
  • Oversee payment distribution for wholesale/distribution entities.
  • Review and verify invoices for retail stores to ensure accurate payments and sales recording.
  • Ensure proper coding of invoices and expenses.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Prepare schedules for management review and external audits.
  • Compliance & Controls
  • Support internal control documentation and compliance.
  • Assist with audit requests, tax filings, licensing, and regulatory reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with operations, sales, and accounting teams on accounting matters.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience (public, private, or mix).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Experience with multi-entity intracompany accounting.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Skills
  • CPA or CPA-eligible.
  • Experience in wholesale, distribution, and retail environments.
  • Familiarity with vaping products is a plus.
