Overview: MV Transportation is actively seeking a dynamic Transportation Operations Supervisor who will provide strategic support, leadership, and direction to our operating teams. This role is essential for ensuring the successful execution of our annual business objectives and customer satisfaction. The supervisor will oversee daily operations while ensuring compliance with agency policies and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-time performance and driver availability effectively.
  • Oversee all call center functions to optimize efficiency.
  • Enhance customer relations through proactive communication and outreach.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and mentor location staff to foster a skilled workforce.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and operational staff.
  • Assist in managing safety and training programs to meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safety-focused culture in the division.
  • Build and maintain routine client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Participate in periodic departmental audits to ensure operational integrity.
  • Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Promote adherence to company policies and operational procedures.
  • Engage in labor and employee relations activities at the location.

Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in public transportation operations, particularly fixed route, on-demand, and ADA paratransit service.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience is required.
  • Experience in scheduling, personnel management, and staff training is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual obligations to perform job duties effectively.
  • Understanding of company policies to ensure consistent evaluation of driver activities.
  • Familiarity with Trapeze software is preferred.
  • Experience managing a fast-paced operational environment is highly valued.
