CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an MEP Project Manager II to join our Commercial & Institutional - MEP Team at any of the following office locations: Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; Bethlehem, PA; Parsippany, NJ; or Rochester, NY.

What You'll Do:

CHA creates state-of-the-art mechanical systems that prioritize energy efficiency without sacrificing strength or ramping up costs. Our technical professionals have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings so we can create solutions for complex facilities including complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, and design/construction services.

At CHA, the MEP Project Manager II works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our MEP Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a "seller/doer" dual role, by understanding our client's challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges.

The MEP Project Manager II coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This individual is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations.

Additionally, the MEP Project Manager II develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management or a related degree is required
  • PE or equivalent professional license preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience required; a minimum of 4 years of project management experience required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25% required
  • Consulting industry experience highly preferred


Salary Range:

$110,000 - $115,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
