Henderson Harbor Tax was established in 2009 as a specialized tax placement division of Henderson Harbor Group. Over the past 16 years, HHTax has successfully leveraged our vast network of tax professionals and our targeted industry knowledge to successfully advise careers and place professionals at every level from Tax Associates to Chief Tax Officers, and Tax Partners, in both private industry and public accounting. We service our clients primarily in the New York Metro area, as well as nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).
Our client, a global technology/SaaS client is looking to add a dynamic Tax Senior to their New Jersey based team. This position will assist the company in generating timely and accurate federal, state and local tax returns, assist with tax reporting and perform research/analysis when needed. The ideal candidate will have corporate tax experience and proficiency in Excel.
This is a hybrid position requiring up to 3 days in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of all year-end tax packages, including Federal, State and Local and related Sales tax & income tax returns, as well as quarterly estimates
- Preparation of fixed asset files and reports
- Assist with the calculation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies
- Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Stay current on active and proposed tax law, alerting management to any potential risks or savings opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in corporate tax
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations
