We are excited to invite passionate physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners to apply for a per diem position. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at multitasking, both independently and as part of a team. This position requires a minimum commitment of 18 hours per month, with the opportunity to work at any of our 9 convenient locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough patient assessments and physical examinations
  • Collect and document clinical data including vital signs, specimens, and point-of-care tests
  • Provide occupational medicine assessments
  • Ensure accurate patient coding and maintain detailed medical reports
  • Lead the clinical team on-site

Requirements:

  • Valid New York license and registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Current DEA certification

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • NCCPA registration
  • Appropriate state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and critical judgment
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
  • Familiarity with the scientific process and national standards of care for patient management
  • Proficient with computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
  • Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to HIPAA compliance
