Licensed Practical Nurse

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Lovington, NM
This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
Details:
- Location: Lovington, NM
- Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
- Weekend availability is highly preferred
- Employment Type: Contract
- Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility
- Active New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (in good standing)
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
- Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
- Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
