We are seeking an individual, who has demonstrated a willing commitment to these values, holding them in high regard, to join our team as a Park Maintenance Crew Chief.
The purpose of this position is to assist in the maintenance of the City's parks, medians, and right of ways by supervising work crews assigned to this maintenance. This is accomplished by organizing activities of work crews and through the use of landscaping and other equipment. Other duties may include debris removal, athletic field preparation, equipment maintenance, repairing park equipment, participating on special projects and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position provides direction to other employees.

How You Add Value

• Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Leads crews by monitoring work activities.
• Maintains landscaping by planting and trimming shrubs, trees and flowers, mowing, weed eating and edging laws, removing shrub and tree clipping, trash and debris and repairing irrigation systems.
• Maintains other park facilities by cleaning bathrooms, removing litter and debris from sports fields, ensuring the proper layout of sports fields, repairing playground equipment, painting and repairing doors and lights and conducting minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Participates on special projects by designing and constructing projects and assisting with preparing for special events.
• Maintains equipment by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on small equipment.
• Regular attendance required.

What You Bring to the Role

• Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
• At least three years of related experience preferred.
• Valid TX Driver's License
