Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Emergency Medicine Physicianto the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicineto maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

• Join a top-tier Emergency Medicine faculty team at Jacobi Medical Center, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine

• Affiliated with the AECOM, Jacobi EM is a main teaching site for one of the premiere Emergency Medicine residency training programs in the country, with 84 total EM residents over 4 years.
• The Department is seeking highly motivated academic Emergency Physicians to join our dynamic faculty
• Jacobi EM is responsible for running Jacobi's regional snake-bite center and a multi-person hyperbaric treatment facility that treat elective and emergency cases.
• The Department has active programs in ultrasound, simulation, hyperbarics, toxicology / addiction care, public health & advocacy, global health, education and research. The Department is looking to recruit faculty with these subspecialty niches and others.
• Successful candidates will be highly committed to excellence in patient care, education and promoting scholarship to enhance the mission of the Department.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• NYS Medical License

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $284,678* (board eligible); $290,063* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $425,246** (board eligible) and $431,169** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $72,100.

• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.

• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.

• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.

• Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.

• Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.

• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
