Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles relevant to the resident's clinical setting and carry out care plans effectively.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Documenting resident interactions and care outcomes.
- Assisting healthcare professionals as needed.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
- Counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment under supervision.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Have graduated from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training.
- Possess specific training or experience if required by the role.
