Job Description

Join us as a Commerce Platform Architect and be a key player in redesigning our custom OCI Commerce Platform systems If you are an experienced leader passionate about distributed systems and highly available services, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead architecture for a team of 60-80 Software Development Engineers (SDEs).
  • Drive the strategic redesign and implementation of high throughput financial and commercial systems supporting our cloud subscriptions.
  • Encourage a DevOps culture and a robust testing mindset within the team.
  • Ensure high operational standards for legacy systems being replaced.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to absorb business context and cultivate an engineering culture.
  • Experience in cloud ordering, metering, billing systems, and financial controls like SOX.
  • 15+ years in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Java, with experience in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems concepts.
  • Understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, and distributed storage technologies.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's degree is preferred; an advanced degree is an advantage.
