Summary
This position is integral to our property management services and being a professional landlord. This position's main goal is to process rental income collected on behalf of the homeowner and provide efficient and effective cash reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Works extensively in cloud-based management software performing accounting and other related property management tasks.
- Daily deposit of electronic funds received, payment of property related expenses and disbursement to owners.
- Understands the flow of transactions; ability to read and interpret tenant and owner ledgers and respond to inquiries.
- Prepares and sends accounting statements to property owners upon request.
- Monitors and oversees an ACH payment system by sending and receiving payments as well as updating ACH account information.
- Provides customer service via phone and email to property owners by assisting with questions or concerns about their account.
- Processes security deposit transfers and reviews move out accounting.
- Assists in account reconciliations.
- Assists in preparation of year-end accounting and financial statements.
- Assists in the collection of required tax information and preparation of necessary tax documents.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Strong knowledge of computers and technology including cloud-based software and applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Work with the team of property accountants to complete team goals.
- Willingness to solve problems independently.
- Ability to communicate well and provide exceptional customer service.
- Exert a professional and positive demeanor.
- Organized and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service, including use of negotiation skills and ability to diffuse difficult situations.
- Demonstrate Honesty, Trustworthiness & Accountability.
- 2- or 4-year college degree, and 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, accounting role or a related field.

Remote Status: This position is full-time in the office.
