Summary

The CT Scan Specialist is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures according to established protocols, assisting referring physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role involves selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields while assessing patient age and diagnosis to produce precise cross-sectional images for the radiologist's use. Responsibilities also include assisting in complex invasive CT examinations with proper sterile techniques and generating CT images.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
  • Connecticut state Radiographer license required
  • CT Advanced certification by ARRT to be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience:

  • Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience in a Radiology hospital setting
  • Knowledge of CT Technology and venipuncture is beneficial
