Job Description

The Revenue Management Analyst evaluates and assesses sailing performance and revenue metrics to determine appropriate pricing and inventory actions needed to maximize ticket revenue growth and total occupancy. The incumbent in this role generates opportunity to monitor and evaluate market trends to understand the value of Carnival Cruise Lines' (CCL) products from a consumer's perspective and to accurately align pricing programs, placement, and availability within each market segment.

Essential Functions:

Determines pricing and inventory for assigned CCL product portfolio to drive net ticket revenue. Formulates and implements optimal pricing and inventory practices and principles by utilizing a combination of analytics, experience, and best practices.

Analyzes the impact on booking demand due to changes in the competitive landscape (i.e., ship deployment, pricing, and strategy). Conducts internal and external competitor price analysis for awareness of current pricing and market trends.

Establishes tactical methodologies to optimize revenue and total occupancy at the market level and various booking channels (e.g., groups, opaque, etc.).

Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Sailing Support, and Reservations to ensure optimal pricing and inventory controls are adhered to.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required - Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Revenue Management or similar analytical role required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of revenue management mathematical and statistical concepts, theories, principles and practices to collect and analyze data and construct solutions to business problems
  • Solid understanding and familiarity with various operational assets including the pricing system, inventory management capabilities, and reports detailing sailing performance
  • Keen understanding of how to utilize operational assets to formulate long-term objectives and make tactical decisions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, and time & project management skills
  • Sound decision-making, assessment, interpersonal, critical thinking, and resourcefulness skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle changing priorities with high level of quality
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • A self-starter who is able and willing to take action with minimal guidance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Scope: This role supports revenue optimization across the assigned product portfolio and contributes to pricing and inventory decisions that impact fleet-wide performance. The Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Sailing Support, and Reservations to ensure alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
  • Problem solving: This role involves analyzing sailing performance, market trends, and competitive pricing to determine optimal pricing and inventory strategies. The Analyst must evaluate multiple business variables and booking channels to identify opportunities for revenue growth and occupancy improvement.
  • Impact: The Analyst directly influences net ticket revenue and total occupancy through strategic pricing and inventory actions. Their work supports broader revenue management goals and contributes to the financial success of the assigned product portfolio, development programs, the role supports talent retention and operational excellence.
  • Leadership: While this role does not have direct reports, it requires collaboration and influence across departments to ensure pricing and inventory controls are effectively implemented. The Analyst works closely with internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive performance.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: None or very little travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
