McLeod Health Carolina Forest is seeking a Hospitalist APP
Job Description
McLeod Health is seeking an experienced and hardworking Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) to join our Hospitalist team at the Carolina Forest campus. This position provides comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours and requires a clinician who can work independently while collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- NP or PA degree required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- *** Minimum 3 years of inpatient experience required (new grads not accepted) ***
- Ability to work independently, organized, and experienced in hospital medicine
Nights: 2 physicians on-site; APP works independently
General support staff includes nursing and clerical support
Schedule
Full-time, 84 hours bi-weekly
Night shifts only
No call responsibilities
Responsibilities
- 100% inpatient responsibility
- Perform physical exams and assess patient needs
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Document findings and maintain accurate medical records
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Orientation
Approximately 6 weeks of shadowing and training paired with another APP.
