Our client is currently seeking a Database Management - Advanced

THIS IS A W2 ONLY POSITION. 100% ONSITE. NO REMOTE WORK FOR THIS ROLE.

As a Teradata Data Warehouse Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our on-premises Teradata infrastructure while supporting its migration to a cloud-based solution. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure platform security, reliability, and performance, and play a key role in modernizing our data ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and optimize the on-prem Teradata data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Integrate platform with enterprise-wide security monitoring tools to ensure compliance and protection.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to backups, restores, performance bottlenecks, and network connectivity.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the migration to Teradata Cloud.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align data warehouse operations with business needs and technical standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata Data Warehouse administration.
  • Proficiency in backup and restore operations using BAR (Backup Archive Restore).
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and familiarity with JSON data structures.
  • Experience with SUSE Linux system administration.
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated involvement in cloud migration projects, preferably Teradata Cloud.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating data platforms with enterprise security tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
