Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Manager, Tax to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $135,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee tax reporting transformation projects to improve real-time data and analytics.
- Manage tax deliverables and processes in collaboration with external tax service providers.
- Deliver accurate and timely tax information for the management company and equity partners.
- Review and calculate book/tax differences, tax allocations, trial balances, and partner capital accounts.
- Draft communications for senior stakeholders and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of general accounting and tax compliance processes.
- Stay current with U.S. federal, international, state, and local tax laws and legislative changes.
- Manage responses and documentation for audits and tax authority inquiries.
- Assist in analyzing cross-border transactions to determine proper U.S. tax treatment.
- Review quarterly tax estimates, withholding statements, and annual K-1 deliverables.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; CPA preferred and a master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a complex corporate environment.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for tax reporting and analysis.
- Exhibit strong initiative, work ethic, and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written skills, especially during busy tax seasons.
