Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Production Supervisor and Manager at Mucci Pac Ltd.

Based at: MIMI Farms USA Ltd, Huron, OH

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-days a week, day shift or midnight shift and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Supports preventative maintenance on the sealers
  • Sets up and operates machine and adjusts controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Lubricates, oils, or applies adhesive, or other material to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
  • Starts machine and observes mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect defects, malfunctions, or other machine damage.
  • Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
  • Transports machine parts, tools, equipment and other material between work areas and storage, using crane, hoist, or dolly.
  • Inventories and requisitions machine parts, equipment, and other supplies to replenish and maintain stock.
  • Records and maintains production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Reads work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Performs general housekeeping tasks as well as small repairs throughout the facility and maintains building cosmetics at desired levels.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High School diploma, or completion of GED is required preference given those with Mechanical tickets or licenses
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production machinery and equipment
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize issues daily
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner any machinery breakdown, material concerns or shortages to maintenance, production supervisor or manager
Physical Abilities:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 30 lbs.and occasionally up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 55 °F
