Insight Global is looking for a Department Head to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc. The Accounting & Finance Department Head will lead all financial operations, ensuring strategic alignment with the company's mission to innovate and scale advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a visionary leader who can manage complex financial structures, support product introduction strategies, and drive fiscal discipline in a high-tech, defense-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth and technology roadmap.
Partner with executive leadership to align financial planning with product development and manufacturing goals.

Financial Management:

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for all departments.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, government regulations, and defense contracting requirements.
Manage cost accounting for semiconductor manufacturing processes, including advanced packaging and 3D integration.

Operational Excellence:

Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Optimize working capital and cash flow to support R&D and production investments.

Team Development:

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally in semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, government contracting, and compliance frameworks.
Proven ability to manage complex financial operations in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
