Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
  • As a Radiation Therapist Technician, you will provide prescribed radiation therapy to patients of all age groups.
  • You will deliver the doses of radiation therapy, position patients, explain the procedure, and answer any questions.
  • You will work with physicists, dosimetrists, nursing staff and physicians during treatment to ensure the best patient care. You will also coordinate support services like social work and dietary.
Accountabilities:
  • Age-Appropriate Care: Applies the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across all age groups (infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric).
  • Patient Sensitivity and Competence: Demonstrates sensitivity to the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of all patients while delivering care.
  • Radiation Therapy Administration: Delivers prescribed doses of radiation therapy, positions patients, answers questions, and explains procedures as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate degree in Radiation Therapy
  • License: Ohio Radiologic License required to work in Ohio
  • Certification: ARRT, CPR
