Office Administrative Specialist

This position with Perkins & Co provides an excellent opportunity for an accounting student to gain exposure to life at the firm, experience a busy season, build relationships, gain experience working in a professional office environment, and perform basic level tax quality assurance work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meeting services, including placing catering orders, setting up rooms, and ensuring AV equipment is ready
- Provide administrative support to the Tax department by reviewing tax forms and scanning documents
- Greet visitors, manage access badges, and handle phone inquiries
- Keep meeting rooms and common areas organized, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment
- Assist with mail processing, package handling, and inventory management
- Provide backup support to team members as needed
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be available to work in the office 40 hours per week (and possible overtime) beginning early February to April 15, 2026
- Working knowledge of basic office technology and software (MS Office Suite)
- Familiarity with tax documents such as 1099/K1s preferred, but not required
- Must have high integrity and trustworthiness
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
