Join our team Make a meaningful impact by assisting patients with their healthcare needs. As a Patient Care Call Center Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth experience for our patients through efficient communication and scheduling.
Summary: In this role, you will register patients and schedule appointments for procedures and testing. You will gather referral and insurance information, verify guarantor details, and inform patients about co-pays, coinsurance, and self-pay rates. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the flow of clinical and non-clinical information in a fast-paced call center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Register patients and perform scheduling functions while obtaining accurate insurance and demographic information.
- Verify referral or insurance authorization/pre-certification from health plans or primary care provider offices.
- Assist patients with financial assessments, including explaining co-pay and self-pay requirements clearly.
- Facilitate communication for hearing impaired and non-English speaking patients to ensure accessibility.
- Provide education on the My Health Connection tool, ensuring patients understand how to utilize it effectively.
- Work collaboratively with clinic staff and other departments to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Escalate calls appropriately when necessary and expedite information from staff to management.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required. Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
