Server - Rooftop Restaurant (Cane & Barrel - AC Hotel St. Petersburg Downtown)

Cane & Barrel, the stunning rooftop bar and restaurant atop the AC Hotel St. Petersburg Downtown, is seeking experienced, professional servers to join our team.

What we're looking for:
  • Polished, guest-focused servers with at least 1-2 years of upscale or high-volume restaurant experience
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, rooftop environment
  • Full open availability on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - this is a must
  • Flexibility to pick up occasional banquet and private-event shifts
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-player mentality
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and upscale casual cuisine is a plus
Schedule & Earning Potential:
  • Primarily weekend shifts (perfect for extra income or a second job)
  • Additional weekday and banquet opportunities available for those wanting more hours

What will you be doing most days?
  • Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service protocol
  • Consistently hold a friendly, relaxing, and courteousness demeanor that makes guests feel comfortable to ensure satisfaction
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests' choices and gives knowledgeable recommendations as necessary
  • Keep the kitchen staff informed on times, updates, or any changes that need to be made to guest's orders
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from the kitchen/bar and deliver accompaniments and condiments as needed
  • Issue bills & collects payment; including room charges, credit card payments, or cash payments with the correct change returned
  • Assist other servers as needed

  • You have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • You are familiar with taking orders from guests, serving food, clean-up and routine side-work, special event set up/service, and assistance with food preparation
  • You must be able to work nights and weekends
  • You are able stand and be one your feet for long periods of time and can lift and maneuver heavy trays


Physical Requirements for this Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Pay Scale: $8.72 - $22.85/hour

*Rate depends upon state/market and experience*
