WGHP-TV, the FOX affiliate serving the Piedmont-Triad, is offering a highly competitive reporter internship for motivated, talented students who want to learn how to tell powerful, local stories on television and digital platforms. We’re looking for one standout candidate who demonstrates curiosity, drive, and professionalism. What You'll Learn: How to find, research, and pitch enterprise story ideas
How to polish your on-air presentationHow to write, shoot, and edit compelling reporter packagesHow to conduct strong interviews and develop sourcesHow to report and write for digital and social platformsHow a professional newsroom operates under daily deadlines
Qualifications :
This internship is open only to seniors graduating in the spring.
Must be able to commit to 16-24 hours a week
Must have reliable transportation to our station in High Point
Must have an on-air resume reel submitted with your application. If you do not send a reel, you will not be considered
Strong writing and communication skills
Willingness to work collaboratively and take feedback
