The Civi Group is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large construction projects (ranging from $5M-$20M+) around Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard. Project types include residential, commercial, healthcare, and academic builds.

Our client, one of the largest General Contractors on Cape Cod, has a robust project pipeline extending into 2026, with over 80% of work sourced from repeat clients.

Compensation is based on experience and offers a competitive, Boston-area salary despite being Cape-based-ideal for someone looking to grow their career without the Boston commute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Help in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring adherence to project objectives.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and help identify issues and propose solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure that safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes are adhered to on-site.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in construction management or a similar role, ideally assisting with projects in the $5M-$20M range.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, procurement processes, and managing project cash flow.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various project stakeholders.
