About the Role

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, supporting patients during routine care and critical diagnostic decisions. You will collect high-quality blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, and follow established procedures to ensure safety, accuracy, and patient confidence.

This role requires a strong commitment to process excellence, confidentiality, and professionalism while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional patient-facing environment.
  • Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
  • Accurately maintain all required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
Job Requirements

Required:
  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training - Preferred
  • California State Phlebotomy License - Required
Work Experience

Required:
  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience
  • Keyboarding and data entry skills
Preferred:
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
