The purpose of this position is to orchestrate and influence the work of others to enhance Kaweah Health's mission and vision and to achieve strategic priorities of the nursing division. Demonstrates high-level leadership accountability focused on safety and the requisite infrastructures necessary to meet expectations of the patients and families served.
Compensation $200,000- $225,000 negotiable Relocation and Sign-on
QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Required: CA RN license
Preferred: National certification in nursing leadership.
Education
Required: BSN Master's degree in nursing, health care, business, or related discipline.
Preferred: MSN
Experience
Required: Five years of management experience in nursing leadership.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Unit responsibility includes ICU, CVICU, ICCU ICCU 5T . 4 Nurse Managers and 4 Assistant Nurse Managers
Essential
Directs the delivery of patient care in the areas of responsibility in concordance with the plan for the provision of care and service, and the plan for the provision of nursing care for Kaweah.
Develops or participates in the development of patient care policies, procedures, protocols and standards which guide and support the provision of services.
Holds direct reports accountable for meeting standards of nursing practice and patient care.
Participates in nursing policy formulation and decision making.
Develops, implements, evaluates and, as necessary, revises the plan for the provision of care and service in assigned services areas. Contributes to, and coordinates services with, the development, implementation and evaluation of the Kaweah Health plan for the provision of care and services.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of patient care and service.
Provides adequate staff resources for carrying out the plan for patient care.
Demonstrates knowledge of patient classification tools, and the Title 22 requirements related to patient classification.
Manages financial resources.
Determines the qualifications and competence level for department staff. Makes recommendations regarding required staffing levels.
Recommends requirements for space and other resources. Participates in selecting outside sources for needed services.
Enhances professional growth and maintains awareness of current industry trends, legislation or research which could impact department and the Kaweah Health.
Continuously assesses and improves department performance. Develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with Kaweah's Mission that guide and support the Provision of Services Plan.
Contributes to staff development. Provides orientation, in-services and continuing education for staff.
Integrates the department/services with Kaweah's primary functions.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.
Pay Range
$85.28 -$127.92
