Locations: Charlotte, NC | Jersey City, NJ | Plano, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Must Haves: Python, Rest API, Angular, some Java - This is an Application Developer focused Python Role, NOT Data Science or Data Engineering.

Job Summary:
• We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Developer to support the development of critical front-office applications in the financial services industry involving risk, pricing and trade surveillance.
• The role requires expertise in Python programming, quantitative analysis, and experience in building applications.
• As a Senior Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that support banking and trading operations, ensuring robustness and performance.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain high-quality Python-based applications for front-office banking and trading operations.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to analyze data and create domain-specific solutions.
• Design and implement risk and pricing applications, working within a financial services environment.
• Participate in full-stack development, leveraging REST APIs, ReactJS, and other technologies.
• Work with both object-oriented and relational databases to manage data effectively.
• Provide insights and expertise in trade surveillance and market conduct, enhancing systems to support compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize knowledge of the Quartz platform, if applicable, to optimize development for specific trading applications.

Required Skills:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python programming.
• 3+ years as a senior developer, with experience in front-office applications within the banking sector a plus and/or big technology companies
• 2+ years of experience with REST, ReactJS, OR full-stack development.
• Proficiency in both object-oriented and relational database systems.
