Medical Assistant - Neurology and Neurosurgery

Overview
• Facility Setting:
• Unit/Department:
• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

Requirements
• License: Valid California license
• Certs: BLS
• Experience: 1 year of MA experience required
• EMR: Epic charting highly preferred
• Compliance: No pending license accepted
• Locals: Yes
• RTO Policy: Present before offer.

Responsibilities
• Obtain vital signs and record patient history, medications, and allergies.
• Room patients and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Set up and assist with aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Perform suture/staple removal and other minor procedures.
• Administer injections including Botox, trigger point, and nerve blocks.
• Support with special tests such as EMG and EEG.
