Job Summary

The Warehouse Palletizer Technician is responsible for efficiently and accurately stacking, organizing, and preparing products on pallets for shipment or storage. This role ensures compliance with company standards for palletization, safety, and quality, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Essential Functions

  • Under moderate supervision, ensure the proper operation of assigned equipment.
  • Ensure proper products are being processed per production.
  • Load and operate machines at a set speed with minimal process interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and report them immediately.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete paperwork, logs, and computer systems for inventor accuracy.
  • Ensure a continuous flow of product and monitor for proper positioning, spacing, sealing, and correct codes/labels.
  • Communicate issues to Shift Manager/Supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Perform visual inspection for any defects, repackaging, or discarding defective products based on procedures.
  • Ensure packaging material is correct for the product type.
  • Assist all warehouse employees as needed.
  • Responsible for proper product handling to ensure minimal product loss.
  • Clean up after daily production and prepare supplies for the next shift.
  • Notifies supervisor of problems or potential problems that disrupt production.
  • Complete all job activities following safety and operational SOP's.
  • Keeps records in accordance with good manufacturing processes and local and state laws.
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained and all employees follow safety procedures.
  • Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol.
  • Ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensures adherence to safety principles and practices.
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance).
  • Complies with all company food safety policies and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Responsible for providing food safety and quality feedback to appropriate manager.
  • Driving a positive and productive culture by example daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Willingness to obtain needed certifications to perform job duties within the timeframe given.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or HR.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
  • Punctual and regular attendance required.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical effort is regularly required.
  • May be trained and required to operate a forklift.
  • Ascending or descending ramps, stairs, ladders and/or scaffolding.
  • Frequently involves crouching, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing or balancing.
  • Frequently involves lifting more than 50 lbs.
Typical Environmental Conditions:
  • Works in a food processing manufacturing facility with moderate noise.
  • May be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e., production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
  • May be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
  • May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
  • May be exposed to ingredients that may cause allergic reactions and may be exposed to various allergen ingredients.
