Job Description:

Requirement/Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering with IP networks.
  • 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing IP and MPLS network architectures.
  • Proven experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting IP network infrastructure.
  • Expertise in network protocols such as PIM, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VPLS, VRFs, L3VPN, and Ethernet.
  • Experience in architecting LAN, WAN, and intranet for large distributed systems.
  • Strong background with Cisco ASR, ISR, and Nexus series routers and switches.
  • Experience configuring MPLS, QoS, VPLS, BGP route policies, and Cisco XR/XE code.
  • Experience with GetVPN, Carrier Ethernet, and SDN technologies.
  • Experience peering with Tier 1 ISPs and troubleshooting internet routing.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • bility to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance.
Experience:
  • Experience performing network planning and recommending upgrades based on trends and performance.
  • Proven ability to document, design, and maintain network configurations and procedures.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience with leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and F5.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate technologies and network designs to support critical infrastructure and customer needs.
  • Implement networking solutions aligned with client goals and objectives.
  • Participate in cross-program discussions to resolve technical challenges.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials for engineering and NOC teams.
  • Maintain network systems to ensure high operational performance.
  • Define and apply best practices for capacity management and optimization.
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve network efficiency.
  • Conduct proofs of concept, service trials, and document system integrations.
  • Travel as needed for requirements meetings and system planning.
Should Have:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to mentor and train less experienced engineers.
  • Solid teamwork and collaboration skills.
Skills:
  • Cisco routing and switching (ASR, ISR, Nexus).
  • MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP configuration.
  • SDN and SD-WAN understanding.
  • Network planning and architecture.
  • Network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance.
Nice to Have:
  • Expert-level industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
  • Experience with network scripting and automation tools.
  • Project management leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Fujitsu network equipment.
