Job Description

Job Title: Cost Analyst II
Location: Houston, TX
Contract length: 12 month contract
Schedule: 40 hrs/week | Onsite 5 days/week onsite
Pay: 40-50/hr

Cost Analyst II Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of cost control or cost engineering experience, preferably in oil and gas.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management principles and tools.
  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, and general cost reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with EcoSys and Power BI.
Cost Analyst II Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting large projects or multiple smaller projects.
  • Familiarity with EPC or major oil and gas operators.
  • Professional certifications such as AACE CCP or PMP.
  • Understanding of project planning and scheduling processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Cost Analyst II Description:

The Cost Analyst II provides project cost control and reporting support within the Project Controls team. This role collaborates with Project Managers and Cost Specialists to ensure cost accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across assigned projects.
  • Creating project structures in SAP and EcoSys.
  • Establishing and inputting initial budgets in coordination with Project Managers.
  • Reviewing and validating invoices and purchase orders for proper cost coding.
  • Submitting monthly accruals and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Managing project commitments and facilitating asset registration.
  • Assisting with internal and client cost reporting requirements.
  • Identifying cost savings opportunities and process improvements.
  • Supporting reporting and analytics through SAP, EcoSys, and Power BI.
