FanDuel is looking for a Compensation Director to lead our Company compensation strategy and operations. This role owns the design, governance, and delivery of programs that attract, reward, and retain top talent while aligning with our business strategy and total rewards philosophy. You'll be able to leverage deep technical expertise and a passion for data-driven decision-making that drives a significant impact on our most important asset - our people. You'll lead a high-performing team, partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders, and drive continuous improvement in our processes and systems (including Workday).

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

  • Advance and continuously evolve our compensation strategy through evaluation, development, and implementation of compensation policies and programs that support the organization's business strategy
  • Strengthen and scale our enterprise governance, auditing and controls, and documentation to ensure consistency, internal equity, and compliance across the enterprise
  • Oversee core compensation planning processes, including annual merit cycles, bonus programs, job leveling, and promotions
  • Partner with Finance and HR on headcount and compensation budgeting/forecasting and with HR Operations on execution and controls
  • Advise HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and leaders on compensation decisions related to hiring, promotions, transfers, and retention; address issues such as internal compression and market competitiveness
  • Conduct market pricing, salary structure design, and benchmarking studies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Lead recurring pay-equity and risk analyses; propose remediations and track outcomes.
  • Support HR systems transformation and implementation of Workday compensation modules; drive automation, data quality, and user experience.
  • Improve tools, dashboards, and analytics to enable manager self-service and better decision-making.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local requirements (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency laws, wage & hour, EEO) and ensure compliant practices, disclosures, and audits.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members; build bench strength and a culture of operational excellence and service.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
  • Minimum 10+ years in compensation, with 4+ years leading compensation teams in a complex, high-growth environment. Public company and/or tech/consumer/financial services experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Proven work experience with supervisory experience
  • Experience with compensation survey providers (e.g., Radford, WTW, Pave) and job leveling methodologies and frameworks
  • Ability to simplify complexity, manage large cross-functional initiatives, and influence at the executive level with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Experience supporting companies in Technology preferred
  • Exposure to and curiosity for Artificial Intelligence tools
  • Experience with an HRIS, preferably Workday; along with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, organize, analyze and provide recommendations and insights
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau strongly preferred
  • Interest in Fantasy Sports and/or Sports Gaming preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $159,000 - $210,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
