Reliability Engineer

Drive equipment excellence and eliminate downtime in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be the key technical leader, defining processes, solving complex problems, and partnering with operations to enhance reliability and performance for a global industry leader.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Define and standardize defect handling processes and tools to systematically improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Lead Breakdown Elimination efforts using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis).
• Partner directly with operations teams to ensure defects are resolved effectively and recurring breakdowns are prevented.
• Determine and prioritize planned maintenance needs, developing and optimizing maintenance schedules.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices and standardizing processes across the reliability team.
• Maintain strong, daily communication with the maintenance department to align priorities and execution.
• Continuously improve core maintenance processes, including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination, to reduce negative impacts on machine uptime.

What You Bring to the Role

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Expertise in maintenance processes and a passion for leading collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills for fast-paced problem-solving in complex situations.
Preferred: Experience in the paper industry, particularly with pulping equipment and processes.
Preferred: Background in mechanical or design engineering within a manufacturing or paper mill setting.
Preferred: Familiarity with Lean Production System principles and a structured approach to continuous improvement.
