Powertrain Calibration Specialist

We are seeking highly motivated powertrain calibration specialists to develop and optimize fuel economy, emissions, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), and drivability attributes across various internal combustion and hybrid powertrain programs.
What you'll do:

Calibrate and innovate advanced aftertreatment technologies for particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO) reduction in gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD standards.

Evaluate and assess vehicle performance metrics, such as fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) both on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test environments.

Revise powertrain control calibrations to enhance fuel efficiency, performance, emissions, and diagnostics.

Design and execute tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostic capabilities.

Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations, including Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada.
You will need:
-
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in Powertrain Calibration.

1+ years of experience with software tools such as ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB.
Even better if you have:

A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration.

A solid understanding and expertise in Accurate Technologies, Inc. (ATI) or similar testing and data acquisition tools and software.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent problem-solving and conflict management skills.

Proven leadership skills demonstrating a commitment to teambuilding and effective communication.

This position is classified within salary grades 6-8.
Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, with verification of eligibility required upon hire.
This position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence four days per week for candidates within commuting distance to a Ford hub location.
