Job Summary:
The Bartender at The Breakers Palm Beach is responsible for welcoming guests with energy and enthusiasm while providing top-notch service by preparing and serving beverages in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with guests in order to provide a personalized, memorable bar experience. In addition, the bartender will be responsible for maintaining organizational and cleanliness standards for the bar and work area, as well as ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Must have knowledge of different types of alcohol and be able to make various classic and modern cocktails
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor
- Prepare and serve beverages in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Read guests' individual needs, connect and converse with guests to provide personalized service and create a memorable bar experience
- Maintain organization and impeccable cleanliness of the bar and work area
- Adhere to food safety standards
- Open bar and set up for service
- Take drink orders
- Prepare all beverage orders according to The Breakers standards
- Ring all orders on the point-of-sale system
- Handle payment accurately
- Maintain responsibility for the restaurant bank including handling cash sales, employee tip out, and bank drop
