Overview

As a Civil Engineering Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be given the opportunity to perform tasks that will help develop your civil engineering skillset. During your internship with CEC, you will be performing various tasks such as calculations, sketches/drawings, safety plans, and field assistance efforts for our commercial and institutional clients. You will also have the opportunity to work and coordinate with various disciplines including Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, Solid Waste and Water/Wastewater.

Through the CEC Internship Program, you will:
  • Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations;
  • Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities;
  • Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges;
  • Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program (a plus is being enrolled in an applicable college major);
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word & Excel) is required;
  • AutoCAD experience; and
  • Prior internship and/or related experience preferred.
