UrgentVet - North Shore is excited to add you as an Short Term Stay Veterinarian Our team located in Glendale, Wisconsin prides themselves on bridging the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality medical care in your specified hospital location
  • Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
  • Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership
  • Grow relationships within the practice and the Milwaukee community
  • Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program
  • Manage a varying caseload, during our open hours
  • Represent AVG with professionalism and compassion in the hospital you support
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
  • Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Comfort in adapting to new clinical environments and team structures
  • Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
