Controls Technician I

REPORTS TO: Director - Controls
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Controls Technician I is an entry-level technician with basic knowledge of HVAC systems, basic computer operations and controls. This technician is able to install controls inclusive of terminating wiring and has the ability to do lower-level startups and commissioning, however, is not proficient in programming or diagnosing control problems. This technician does not function unsupervised and is not tasked with supervising subcontractors and maintaining schedules.
The Controls Technician I will be involved in many areas of Building Automation and Energy Management Controls and will perform duties in Controls Service and Construction Startup.
GENERAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- General knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation and energy management controls and construction start-up.
- On site performance to assure projects are completed in a professional manner, safely and on time.
- Perform job duties in timely manner and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Support others in the controls and mechanical service division to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Project closeout to include assisting with documents and obtaining letters of satisfaction from our customer.
- Ensure all assigned work is conducted in a safe and effective manner.
THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
Pay Range: $23 - $30 per hour
