Shift Leader – J.Bone’s Barbecue (Westfield, NJ)

Part-Time / Full-Time · Thursday–Sunday · Great Pay

J.Bone’s Barbecue is growing, and we’re looking for a Shift Leader who’s ready to jump in, lead from the front, and take pride in every detail of our operation. This position is a hybrid role—part cashier, part expeditor, part prep cook—and is perfect for someone who wants to learn every aspect of a fast-paced, high-quality barbecue restaurant.

What You’ll Do

Lead the front-of-house during your shift

Handle in-person, phonem and online orders with speed and accuracy

Run the line as an expeditor, ensuring food goes out on time and perfect

Assist with prep work

Support and guide team members, resolve small conflicts, and set the tone for excellent service

Uphold J.Bone’s standards for cleanliness, consistency, and customer experience

Learn the full operation so you can jump in wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

Past shift leader or supervisory experience is required

ServSafe Manager Certification (current or recently expired)—must show you’ve held leadership responsibility

Strong people skills — friendly, confident, and great under pressure

A natural problem-solver with good judgment

Self-motivated and able to manage a team

Someone who takes pride in everything they do, no matter how small

Hard-working, reliable, and eager to grow

Must be available Thursday–Sunday, the days we are open
