Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to be a vital part of our dedicated team In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on our entire fleet of company-owned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies
  • Safely maneuver company equipment in the yard as required
  • Assist drivers with any vehicle-related issues
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and equipment lubrication
  • Complete daily checklists as needed
  • Ensure equipment is parked/secured according to facility and DOT regulations
  • Participate in facility maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Complete other duties assigned by management based on business needs

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed at Clean Harbors:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong ability to work within a team
  • 1+ years of experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment
  • 1+ years of DOT inspection experience required
  • Must provide essential mechanical tools
  • Relevant mechanical certifications are a plus but not mandatory
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination upon hire
