We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bodily Injury Claims Team Leader to join our Casualty Claims department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in empowering your team to manage attorney-represented automotive liability claims, handling:

  • Complex investigations
  • Coverage determinations
  • Liability assessments
  • Bodily injury claim resolutions through settlements and litigation

This position requires deep knowledge of litigation processes and the ability to strategically oversee claims represented by attorneys. If you are excited about developing talent, achieving results, and making an impact in automotive liability, we want to hear from you

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service and build trust.
  • Utilize your expertise in property and casualty insurance to assist team members in resolving complex customer inquiries and claims.
  • Provide guidance on evaluations that exceed your adjusters' personal authority, collaborating on claims that surpass delegated limits.
  • Tailor your leadership style to enhance team members' skills and ensure they consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Hold your team accountable for achieving results, adhering to regulations, and providing exceptional service.
  • Address escalated customer concerns with empathy and professionalism, showcasing GEICO's commitment to service excellence.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Serve as a resource for team members on insurance-related questions, providing mentorship and enhancing their industry knowledge.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in Bodily Injury claims with oversight of litigated cases.
  • Active Adjuster license (required).
  • Strong expertise in Casualty claims, including knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to guide associates in negotiating claim settlements effectively.
  • Experience with various claims tools and the ability to assist team members.
  • Strong adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams in a customer-centric environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adapting leadership styles as needed.
  • Analytical skills to utilize data for informed decision-making and improved outcomes.
