Product Compliance Specialist

As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in preparing and processing product changes to support vital filing projects and compliance schedules. You will work closely with our carrier partners, the Product Compliance team, and contribute significantly to product implementation efforts. What you'll do:

  • Achieve filing submission production goals by leveraging filing workflows, checklists, and teamwork processes. Manage your workload effectively with assistance as needed.
  • Develop and refine compliance and cleanup product changes to meet regulatory and business standards.
  • Ensure high-quality filing documents to minimize internal reviews, carrier critiques, and state objections.
  • Coordinate and provide thorough information to secure approvals for product implementation.
  • Assist in researching and interpreting product compliance and competitive issues to support productive discussions with Product Managers.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal skills in collaborating with teams and fostering relationships across the organization and with carrier partners.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities concerning state issues, working alongside team members and managers when necessary.
  • Handle filings, forms, rules, and rate updates proficiently.
  • Research and analyze state requirements for product filings.
  • Review and enhance rate and rule page updates in coordination with Actuarial and Underwriting teams.
  • Craft appropriate language and refine forms for submissions.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for SERFF submissions.
  • Address BA inquiries regarding system output modifications needed for filing updates.
  • Act as the primary liaison with carrier partners.
  • Manage state objections, communicate with carriers for responses, and suggest alternative strategies as needed.
  • Conduct peer reviews of state filings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain organized records in Word and Excel documents, ensuring proper historical documentation.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific states or projects.
  • Process filing approvals for Support Specialists to transfer to the Implementation Team.
  • Provide additional updates regarding product change and release timelines as necessary.

  • Experience and knowledge of Personal Auto Insurance products.
  • Familiarity with SERFF is a plus.
  • A proactive, critical thinker eager to contribute.

Other things to note:

  • This role can be performed remotely within the United States.
  • Understanding of public company regulations, including Sarbanes Oxley, is beneficial; responsibilities may include designing, executing, and documenting internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
