JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department: Surgery
Shift Timings: 06:30-17:00 Monday to friday (4 days/10 Hours)
Per Week: 40 Hours
6 OR rooms, one is Urology. Orthopedics, General, Robotics and Urology. No Cardiovascular, no trauma, no Neuro.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
- OR RN with minimum of 3 years experience.
- Able to take call one evening per week and one-two weekends per month.
- We have first and second call on the weekends. Able to take holiday call. Able to scrub a plus.
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN OR Surgery experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered Kansas RN state license
- One year of Cerner experience
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
