We are looking for a Lead Demand Planner who will spearhead the strategy and execution of forecasting and decision-making. This role blends advanced modeling, business intelligence, and comprehensive analysis of market trends. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in data analytics, scenario building, and collaboration with supply management functions. The Lead Demand Planner will leverage their expertise in process improvement to foster continuous learning and enhance strategic forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain comprehensive long-range demand planning models at various levels including customer, initiative, SKU, and geographic region to accurately forecast product demand.

  • Develop demand plans driven by strategic objectives, market trends, and stakeholder input, engaging with teams in engineering, product management, networking, data centers, and finance.

  • Present demand plans to senior leaders across capacity planning, operations, supply chain, engineering, customer management, and finance to ensure alignment.

  • Identify risks associated with demand forecasts and formulate effective, prioritized mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate a healthy balance between long-term planning and immediate execution, ensuring a clear understanding of the entire supply chain to meet customer needs.

  • Work closely with product management to grasp the nuances of the product lifecycle and transitions and how these influence forecasting.

  • Provide valuable insights and analyses of demand data to management and operational teams to enrich the corporate Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

  • Create occasional and regular demand analyses and reports for senior management review.

  • Enhance demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy continuously.

  • Recognize that effective demand planning is a blend of science and art; translating business strategies into actionable forecasting models qualitatively and quantitatively is essential.

  • Collaborate with business intelligence teams to translate planning methodologies into system models that effectively plan resource needs in accordance with capacity and performance objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in demand planning and forecasting.

  • Proven experience in creating demand plans and forecasts for both new and existing products.

  • Understanding the influence of revenue targets, customer usage, overhead costs, and resource availability on capacity management.

  • Strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results with urgency.

  • Experience in demand planning and forecasting for server storage and networking components.

  • Proficient in Excel with advanced modeling skills for developing complex forecasting scenarios that drive business decisions.

  • Capability to analyze data deeply and present findings clearly for executive communication.

  • Expertise in utilizing Excel for data analytics to inform decisions.

  • Experience engaging with VPs and Executives.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure hardware, including memory, CPU, JBoDs, and servers, with the ability to interpret product BOM and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cloud environment.

  • Adept at thriving in ambiguous situations and making sound judgments amid uncertainty.

  • Strong ability to translate extensive datasets into actionable insights.

  • Experience tracking key operational metrics to enhance demand planning performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • History of building and refining business processes.

  • Able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve challenges and achieve results.

  • Extensive use (7+ years) of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for diverse audiences.

  • Proficient in managing tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Basic working knowledge of SQL.

Salary and Benefits Information:

Our US Hiring Range for this position is $90,100 to $199,500 annually, possibly eligible for bonuses and equity. Oracle's salary structures vary based on knowledge, experience, market conditions, and other factors.
