Claims Advocate

Description : The Claims Advocate is responsible for general commercial claims handling in the processing, evaluating, and investigation of claims to resolution. Maintain account files in an orderly sequence according to established procedures, records, or reports. Answer and process all telephone requests; be proactive with day to day contact with client and carriers. Process daily mail, faxes and e-mail. Enter all required data into system to maintain current file data. Obtain, analyze and critique adjusters' notes periodically for all claims. Submit claims reports, evaluate files for settlement and reserve potential and communicate with customers. Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional, proactive service in regards to claims resolution. All other duties as assigned. Assist with renewal process and policy quoting, Assist with Auto ID cards, certificate issuance, running MVRs, and flood determinations. Obtaining Loss Runs. Assist account manager with some processing and sending policies/endorsements out to insured. Follow-up for policy issuance and endorsements. Requirements : Must possess current NJ Property and Casualty Insurance License. Previous commercial lines insurance experience. Experienced Excel and Microsoft Office suite skills required. Knowledge of Applied Epic is a big plus. Not a remote position.
