Position: Mortgage Loan Processor (Remote - 6-Month Contract)
Pay Range: $16-$19 per hour (W2)
Location: Remote - Candidates must reside in Central or Eastern Time Zones

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple loan files in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in coordinating and preparing mortgage loan documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan closings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review mortgage loan files and applications for accuracy and completeness according to bank, regulatory, and investor requirements.
  • Gather and verify all required documentation such as appraisals, title reports, income verification, tax returns, and financial statements.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, realtors, brokers, title companies, attorneys, and internal teams to obtain missing information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare required loan disclosures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and update loan status throughout the process; provide regular updates to relevant parties.
  • Review closing documents for accuracy, calculate final costs, and prepare settlement statements.
  • Coordinate loan closings and funding to meet deadlines and ensure smooth completion of the loan process.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Assist in packaging and electronically shipping loans to secondary market investors, as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
  • Prior experience in mortgage loan processing, loan documentation, or banking operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of loan processing policies, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with loan origination systems, document management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Contract Details:
  • Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension based on business needs)
  • Pay Rate: $16-$19 per hour (W2)
  • Schedule: Standard business hours aligned with Central or Eastern Time Zone
