TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to provide respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves administering therapeutic treatments, performing diagnostic procedures, and supporting patients in managing respiratory conditions in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and other prescribed respiratory treatments.
- Set up, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry.
- Assess and monitor patients' cardiopulmonary status and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and disease management strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current state licensure as required by applicable regulations.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP certifications preferred depending on patient population.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care techniques, equipment, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
