IT Equipment Coordinator, Ops Tech Solutions

Amazon, one of the top 100 companies in the United States, has an immediate opening for an IT Equipment Coordinator in our Subsidiary Shopbop's MSN5 Fulfillment Center, located in Madison, WI. Fulfillment Centers throughout the U.S. handle millions of items from tens of thousands of vendors and ships them across the globe each day. A successful IT Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining IT inventory, coordinating ordering/RMA/setup of assets assigned to the IT department, maintaining generalized standardization of IT areas, and providing some front line support for hardware-based Trouble Tickets.
Key job responsibilities
The IT Equipment Coordinator is a member of the larger OpsTech Solutions IT team within the Fulfillment Center and will specifically support the IT Support Technicians, Associates and Engineers in daily projects and activities as directed. This position reports directly to the IT manager for the Fulfillment Center.
A day in the life
The Equipment Coordinator is primarily focused on managing inventory and equipment maintenance throughout the Fulfillment Center.
- Checking the End of Shift email and notes from the previous shift
- Performing audits, which includes checking defect bins and replacing defective scanners
- Processing incidents and requests for equipment consolidation
- Attaching documentation to incidents and requests
- Unboxing and receiving new IT related items
- Clearing repair shelf items through fixing, shipping for warranty returns, or processing liquidations
- Conducting site readiness walks to check stations for missing or damaged equipment
- Maintaining an organized and clean workspace
About the team
The Operations Technology Services (OTS) IT team at Shopbop's Reverse Logistics facility supports the technology infrastructure for processing returned fashion merchandise. Our team maintains critical IT systems and equipment that enable associates to efficiently process, evaluate, and restock designer clothing, accessories, and footwear. We ensure all technology components are functioning properly to maintain continuous operations in this fast-paced fashion returns environment.
As part of Amazon's broader network, our IT team plays a vital role providing hands-on technical support while collaborating with various operations teams to optimize the returns process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the customer service industry or leading customer experience improvements
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- COMPTIA A+, N+ or Sec+ certification, or industry relevant certification (Linux+, LPIC-1, or equivalent)
- CCNA or equivalent level networking certification, or Bachelor's degree
- Associate's degree or above, or Advanced technical degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $38,480/year in our lowest geographic market up to $49,920/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
